a neighborhood wine bar

global wines × delicious food × served with love

Located in the historic neighborhood of Chinatown, Flight is a top wine destination in the city.

Flight opened in January of 2014 when the city had just a few wine bars. Owners and sommeliers, Kabir Amir and Swati Bose, have traveled the world selecting the wine for their robust wine list consisting of over 500 wines in various formats including 28 wine flights, 40 wines by the glass, and 10 wines poured by the Coravin. They focus on small, family-owned estates, and lesser known varietals and regions.

The small, inventive, and delicious dinner menu utilizing local and seasonal ingredients is prepared by Chef James Barton, a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America. Guests can enjoy small plates such as Crispy Fingerling Potatoes on a buttermilk dressing and Burrata with a butternut squash chutney or larger plates like Braised Short Ribs with daikon radish with charred onion puree and Octopus on a white bean and fennel ragu.

The space evokes an intimate and cozy experience. Guests can choose from high-top or low-top seating for dining or drinks. Reservations recommended though walk-ins are always welcome.

Our fall classes will focus on breaking down the stereotypes surrounding different types (or varietals) and styles of wine. Why does this wine inspire such love or hate among wine drinkers? And did you know a Chablis is always chardonnay? Strip away the myths and the stereotypes and one may be surprised by the fresh, crisp, versatile wine that this is. Come taste through a world of chardonnay with us, and we promise, you will find one you fall in love with be it a classic Burgundian or one from Elgin in South Africa or a lesser known Piedmontese...Reserve your seats now!
