a neighborhood wine bar
Located in the historic neighborhood of Chinatown, Flight is a top wine destination in the city.
Flight opened in January of 2014 when the city had just a few wine bars. Owners and sommeliers, Kabir Amir and Swati Bose, have traveled the world selecting the wine for their robust wine list consisting of over 500 wines in various formats including 28 wine flights, 40 wines by the glass, and 10 wines poured by the Coravin. They focus on small, family-owned estates, and lesser known varietals and regions.
The small, inventive, and delicious dinner menu utilizing local and seasonal ingredients is prepared by Chef James Barton, a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America. Guests can enjoy small plates such as Crispy Fingerling Potatoes on a buttermilk dressing and Burrata with a butternut squash chutney or larger plates like Braised Short Ribs with daikon radish with charred onion puree and Octopus on a white bean and fennel ragu.
The space evokes an intimate and cozy experience. Guests can choose from high-top or low-top seating for dining or drinks. Reservations recommended though walk-ins are always welcome.

More about our guests:
Native Selections works with only small family farms and other like-minded importers to source wines made in a natural way, that is, with grapes farmed via organic/biodynamic methods, fermentations with wild/native yeasts, and made without any additives such as sugar, acid, color, or commercial yeasts, while the use of sulfites is minimized or entirely avoided. The wines are typically unfined and unfiltered. The resulting wines are lively, interesting, and have a distinct sense of place! Álvaro is one such importer that Native Selections works with. Selections de la Viña focuses on Spanish natural wines looking for Wines that transmit the passion of their winemakers, small growers who work the vines and make the wines sacrificing quantity over quality while farming organically in the vineyard and limiting additives in the cellar.
FLIGHT WINE SCHOOL:
